She Came for a Speaker… and Found a Mission That Changes Lives
I became aware of TOUCH when they brought Sharon Randall, a nationally syndicated columnist, in to speak.
I was a regular reader of her column and went to see her speak. While there, I saw Scott Evernham, a close friend of my son. I was aware of Scott and Robin’s cancer journey and decided that TOUCH was a cause I wanted to support and be involved with.
I went to my first meeting at Cathy Engel’s house in November, 2013.
I knew then that cancer touched so many lives, but didn’t realize how desperate some families were for help just to get through to the next month with their everyday expenses.
This on top of trying to get through treatment. The help that TOUCH is able to give families during this difficult time can make all the difference. I am humbled to be a part of it.
